Šagolj's photographs have been published by world's leading magazines and newspapers. He is the recipient of several international awards for photojournalism including World Press Photo, POYi, NPPA...  He has numerous exhibitions, including a big solo show at Visa D’or in Perpignan.

His coverage of the coalition troop’s invasion of Iraq was, among other awards, nominated for the Pulitzer Prize as the only second reporter for the non-American media in the history of that prize.

Most recently he covered the Japan's tsunami, Pakistan and Thailand floods, hunger crisis in North Korea, the war crimes tribunal in the Hague, democratic changes in Myanmar...

Sarajevo Film Festival is particularly pleased to be working with Šagolj and that this excellent photographer will be part of the team that makes the 19th edition of the Festival possible.
