ANAMARIA MARINCA

Anamaria Marinca caught the public eye with her performance in the British TV series SEX TRAFFIC, directed by David Yates, which also won her the 2005 BAFTA Best Actress Award. Her film debut came with Cristian Mungiu’s 4 MONTHS, 3 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS, a film that won the Cannes Palme d’or and was also screened at the 13th Sarajevo Film Festival. Her role of Otilia also brought her the Stockholm International Film Festival Award. She worked with Francis Ford Coppola on YOUTH WITHOUT YOUTH, as well as on Julie Delpy’s last film THE COUNTESS. She played an outstanding role in German director Hans Christian Schmid’s film STORM, which was part of this year Berlinale Festival, and will also be presented at the 15th edition of SFF.
