Sarajevo artist Danica Dakić has been exhibiting her works all over the world. Although she graduated painting, for a long time she has been dealing exclusively with video and sound installations. In her video, film, and photography works, Dakić explores the concepts of cultural identities, language, and history. She took part in many international group exhibitions, such as Documenta 12, Istanbul Biennial, Biennale of Sydney, and Liverpool Biennial. Her recent individual works include retrospective exhibitions at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, as well as exhibitions at Generali Foundation Vienna and the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Zagreb. She is currently a guest professor at the renowned University of Applied Arts in Vienna
