Šejla Kamerić (Sarajevo 1976) currently lives in Sarajevo and Berlin. Until 2000 she worked with the designer group Trio and acted as the Art Director in marketing agency “Fabrika”, Sarajevo. She uses mainly photography and video as media juxtaposing an explicit social context with intimate perspectives. Her work has been presented at numerous individual and group exhibitions (Austtria, Croatia, Czech Rpublic, Germany, Hungary, Kosovo, Japan, UK, Belgium, Holland, US, Israel…) Her shost films have been screened and awared at numeours festivals ( Daydreaming (2004): 51. International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Germany; What do I know (2007): world premiere at 64. Venezia Corto Cortissimo, screened at 13th SFF, competition selection at 30th Clermont - Ferrand Short Film Festival. Short film programme of the 5th Zagreb Film Festival 2007 awarded WHAT DO I KNOWN as the best short, and it also won this yearćs Adana Altin Koza Film Festival Best Fiction Film Award. Šejla Kamerić was awarded the DAAD Fellowship 2007.
