Marian Crisan
has directed several short and documentary films, for which he received a
number of prestigious awards - among them Palme d’or for Best Short Film for
the film MEGATRON. He has a degree in Film and TV Directing from the Bucharest
Academy of Theatre and Film. His first documentary, COMUNISMUM MOBILAE, also
won him his first award – for best documentary from the Bucharest Cinemajubit
Film Festival. The films that followed were HELP! LA MULTI ANI, FAMILY
PORTRAIT, THE AMATEUR and the documentary LUNI/MONDAY. His latest work,
MEGATRON, received the Palme d’or Award for Best Short Film at the 2008 Cannes
Film Festival, as well as the Best Short Film Award at the Stockholm Film
Festival. The film was screened at more that forty film festivals.
