1st Edition of ArteKino - European Online Film Festival

From September 12, ARTE and the platform Festival Scope launched ArteKino Festival, a new online film festival, aimed at movie goers all over Europe, who wish to discover a selection of European productions that are among the most original and stimulating of the year.

ArteKino Festival offers to film lovers of 44 European countries 50,000 free tickets to discover a selection of 10 films during 10 days online.

From September 30 to October 9, on the website artekinofestival.com, these films will be available in four languages (French, German, English and Spanish). After each viewing, the users will be invited to vote from 1 to 5. The Nespresso Audience Award will grant a 50,000€ award to the film’s filmmaker and international sales agent in order to help the promotion of the film on new territories.

ArteKino Festival’s selection - feature, animation as well as documentary - is quite representative of the eclectism and the audacity of the new European cinematographic production.

Recently selected or rewarded in the most prestigious international festivals (Sundance, Rotterdam, Cannes, Locarno, Venice, Annecy…), these films have the chance to meet an audience of European film goers eager for new discoveries:
