Zijah Gafić is the winner of some of the most prestigious international photography awards, such as: The Sunday Times Magazine Ian Perry Award, the Grand Prix Discovery of the Year, the Giacomelli Memorial Fund Award, the Getty Images Grant for Editorial Photography... He has won multiple awards from the prestigious World Press Photo, has also received the Joop Swart Masterclass scholarship, and the Photo District News Magazine lists him among the thirty best photographers in the world. Gafić publishes reports in international publications such as the Telegraph Magazine, Newsweek, The New York Times Magazine, L’Espresso, Photo, La Repubblica, The Times Magazine, TIME. He has held exhibitions at prominent international festivals and galleries. Gafić’s photo-essay on the consequences of war in Bosnia and Herzegovina was published in the book “Tales From Globalizing World”, published by Thames & Hudson.
