Leon Lučev is one of the best actors in
the region. He performed in numerous different film, theatre, and TV roles,
which have been winning the hearts of the audience, and the film critics as
well. His career started in 1996 with the role in HOW THE WAR STARTED ON MY
ISLAND. Since then he has been successful in a number of noticed performances
in the achievements such as RUSSIAN FLESH, WITNESSES, WHAT IS A MAN WITHOUT A
MOUSTACHE, as well as in films by BiH director Jasmila Žbanić, GRBAVICA, the
wining film of Berlinale, and ON THE PATH, which was also included in the
Berlinale Official Programme. In 2008, Lučev won two awards, Heart of Sarajevo
at the 14th SFF for his performance in BUICK RIVIERA by Goran Rušinović and the
Golden Arena for the Best Supporting Actor in Pula for the role in film WILL
NOT END HERE by Vinko Brešan. He also played in the STORM, coproduced by
Germany and Denmark, screened within the Heineken Open Air Programme of the
15th Sarajevo Film Festival.
