Open Call for Young People to Participate in the “Films for Future” Project at the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival

The Sarajevo Film Festival invites film lovers (aged 12 to 30) to participate in the “Films for Future” project, which promotes creative expression and raising awareness about environmental protection.

 

The call is open to everybody interested from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.

 

You can participate by sending your short video/reel, up to 90 seconds long, on the topic of environmental protection in all the meanings that this word can have: climate change, recycling, environmental pollution, protection of rivers and endangered species, life in the city, shared green spaces and other similar issues of great importance for a sustainable future.

 

The authors of the best films will be rewarded with valuable prizes, provided by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

You can send your short videos/reels by August 2, 2026 to info@sarajevocityoffilm.ba, with your personal contact information (name and surname, year of birth, contact phone number and address). Sending videos via email is mandatory, and participants can also post their videos / reels on their social networks (FB, Instagram, TikTok), using the hashtags: #32ndSFF #NetZero #FutureIsPossible. The winning videos will be published on the Sarajevo Film Festival's social media.

 

The "Films for Future" project is inspired by the global youth movement Fridays for Future, with the aim of encouraging young people to think and act in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development through creativity and film.

 

Partners of the "Films for Future / Filmovi za budućnost" project are Sarajevo UNESCO City of Film, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Green Club (Zeleni klub), a network of representatives and members of parliament in Bosnia and Herzegovina
