RULES for participation in the I LOVE FILM programme of the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival

 

The I LOVE FILM programme aims to promote the values of cinematography and film art and to encourage the audience to attend screenings. With this programme, the Sarajevo Film Festival celebrates the culture of going to the cinema and motivates the audience to attend screenings throughout the year.

The programme is aimed at providing film lovers with the opportunity to meet authors and other industry professionals and communicate with them to get a clear picture of trends in the world of film.

Participants in the I LOVE FILM programme will have the opportunity to attend screenings and special programmes of the Sarajevo Film Festival and to meet authors and guests from the film industry.

 

 

The call for participation in the I LOVE FILM programme is published before the start of the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival. The Sarajevo Film Festival Board determines the number of participants in the I LOVE FILM programme of the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, according to available capacities and the current situation.

Candidates aged 15 to 28, senior citizens and people with disabilities can apply. The application consists of basic information about the candidate and short answers to questions about motivation, through which candidates can describe their interest in film, cinema, and festivals. Candidates are not required to have any professional connections to the film industry or to actively participate in it.

The Sarajevo Film Festival Board evaluates the quality of applications and selects the programme participants based on this.

 

 

Participation in the I LOVE FILM programme is voluntary and free of charge.

Participants will receive special Sarajevo Film Festival accreditations, based on which they will have free access to certain festival locations, screenings, and special programmes.

Participants will receive the necessary materials for participation in the I LOVE FILM programme.

Participants in the I LOVE FILM programme are required to complete the scheduled activities. If they miss two mandatory activities, they are no longer entitled to be part of the I LOVE FILM programme and their accreditation will be canceled.

Participants are strongly encouraged to attend the "SFF Recommends" screenings. The "SFF Recommends" screenings aim to introduce the cultural diversity of the world to the participants of the I LOVE FILM programme through cinematography. Most of the "SFF Recommends" screenings will be accompanied by discussions during which participants will have the opportunity to exchange impressions and discuss the themes of the films with the authors and the crew.

 

 

Participants will receive a special programme for each day with a schedule of their activities, which include mandatory attendance at certain film screenings and events. Participants of the I LOVE FILM programme will have access to screenings from various programmes. This includes, among others, the Grand Coffee with… programme, Masterclass programme, the "Tribute to" programme, SFF Partner Presents, Dealing with the Past, Human Rights Day, etc.

 

 

Participants also can attend screenings of their own choice, which do not coincide with their daily schedule of the I LOVE FILM programme.

Participants can reserve tickets 24 hours in advance via the mobile application or directly at the Box Office within the BKC (Bosnian Cultural Center).

A maximum of 2 tickets is allowed to be collected per day (one ticket per screening).

Ticket issuance depends on the capacity of the cinema hall.

 

 

In addition to the mandatory screenings and programmes and optional screenings, participants will be offered up to 3 screening recommendations per day for which they will be able to register at a certain capacity. "SFF recommended" screenings are selected with the aim of completing the viewing experience of the I LOVE FILM programme participants. During the "SFF recommended" screenings, participants will have the opportunity to watch films that deal with a wide variety of topics and represent different cultural experiences.

 

During these screenings, participants will learn about the role that cinema plays in different parts of the world, which will allow them to gain insight into thematically and stylistically diverse presentations through the lens of film.

 

The essential goal of the I LOVE FILM programme is to provide a selected group of film lovers with access to insights into contemporary cinema, meetings and conversations with guests and authors, special panels and other Sarajevo Film Festival programmes, without any financial compensation. In addition to the viewing experience, participants are given the opportunity to reflect on and discuss the films they watch with the authors of the films included in certain programmes.

 

 

The Sarajevo Film Festival Board approves participation in the I LOVE FILM programme and is responsible for the programme.

The I LOVE FILM programme coordinator is the only contact person for programme participants.
