Sarajevo City of Film: Shooting of the Short Film “ROUNDABOUT” Started

After finishing shooting of the short film SOMETHING SWEET, by the young Serbian directress Jelena Gavrilović, within the 2012 Sarajevo City of Film Project, shooting of the film ROUNDABOUT started.

This film is directed by the Hungarian directress Orsy Negypal (participant of the 5th STC), while the screenplay was written by Elizampetta Ilia Georgiadou (participant of the 5th STC) from Greece. Shooting will take place during the period between April 12 and 14. Film cast consists of Leon Lučev, Irina Dobnik and Adnan Beširović.

As every year, members of the selected teams of each film are international and consist of authors and actors from at least two different countries from the region. In addition, along with the young actors, participants of previous Talent Campuses, the roles in the films are realized by professional actors as well. This way, the Sarajevo Film Festival wishes to initiate cooperation and creation of a new network of young, talented and creative authors from the region, whose work represents the future of the regional cinematography.

Participants of this year’s Production Workshop will also be included in the realization of all the films. These are young producers: Dragana Jovović (Serbia), Milena Džambasović (Serbia), Nandor Lovas (Hungary). Sarajevo City of Film Production Workshop is dedicated to young professionals from 13 countries of the region who took part as producers at one of the previous two Sarajevo Talent Campus editions.

The premiere screening of the films to be realized within the 2012 Sarajevo City of Film Project are going to take place during the 18th Sarajevo Film Festival.

The main partner of the Sarajevo City of Film Project is the ATLANTIC Group, which is going to award the best achievement of the 2012 Sarajevo City of Film this year again.
