Four short films made in Sarajevo in spring/summer of 2011 had their premiere: EDINA (BiH/Hungary), by Nóra Lakos (cast: Eszter Tompa, Boris Ler, Amina Begović, Nicolas Moll), POSTHUMOUS (BiH/Turkey) by Cenk Erturk (cast: Senad Alihodžić, Adnan Hasković, Šerif Aljić, Muhamed Bahonjić), SCENES WITH WOMEN (BiH/Serbia) by Nikola Ljuca (cast: Marko Cindrić, Borka Tomović, Sadžida Šetić, Jasna Beri, Jelena Kordić) and BODILY FUNCTION (BiH) by Dane Komljen (cast: Anel Hasanbašić, Rijad Gvozden).

Sarajevo City of Film is a project announcing the up-and-coming forces of regional cinematography, presenting at the same time Sarajevo – the place where film is made and where it lives.

The Sarajevo City of Film project is realized with support of the Atlantic Group, partner to the project, and is sponsored by the Foundation for Cinematography Sarajevo, Federal Ministry of Culture and Sport, Norwegian Embassy, Croatian Audiovisual Center, MDG Achievment Fund and NATO. The project supports regional cooperation through joint film projects, offering participants of the Sarajevo Talent Campus an opportunity to make and produce films in Sarajevo.

After the premiere, the authors are impatiently awaiting for the jury to decide on the winner of the “Atlantic Group Award”, traditionally awarded by the Atlantic Group, partner to the project, for the best film made in the Sarajevo City of Film Project. Winner of the “Atlantic Group Award” will be announced on Tuesday, 26 July.
