TeenArena Begins Today – Films and Fun for the Young
Tonight’s screening of GRIFF, the Invisible, by Leon Ford will mark the beginning of this year’s open program TeenArena at the Sarajevo Film Festival. The film which premiered at the International Film Festival in Berlin will mark the beginning of the program which attracts a large number of teenagers every year, offering them, apart from films, a lot of fun as well.
This year will be no exception. Prior to the screenings, young people will have fun listening to music played by some of the best DJs in Sarajevo in the Multiplex Cinema City.
Every day one hour before the screening young people will be able to come together and have fun in the plateau outside the Multiplex cinema. This year’s TeenArena will last until 29 July and the audience will be able to see some of the best films for young people. Still, the decision on the best TeenArena film for 2011 will be passed by a jury of seven members, made up of Sarajevo Canton high school students.
The audience will also have an opportunity to vote for the best film by using a coupon which will be distributed at all screenings. The following films will be screened in the coming days as part of the TeenArena Program: GOING OUR WAY, by Slovenian director Miho Hočevar, LOST IN AFRICA by Vibeke Muasaye, AMORE 14 by Italian director Federico Moccia, while the spectacular Marvel’s comic superhero, this time on the big screen CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER by Joe Johnston will close this year’s TeenArena.
Screenings will take place at the Multiplex Cinema City at 6 p.m.
