“Coffee with…” the Crew of the Film IF I WANT TO WHISTLE, I WHISTLE

Guests of the “Coffee with…” Programme for Thursday (July 29) were director of the film IF I WANT TO WHISTLE, I WHISTLE, Florin Serban, leading actress Ada Condeescu, and producer Daniel Mitulescu. The conversation at the Festival Square was moderated by Erwin Schmidt, the producer.

In the relaxed atmosphere, and in the presence of a large number of audience and guests, director Serban spoke about his multiple awarded debut, which emerged from the script developed at our CineLink Co-production Market.

The present audience, most of whom attended last evening’s screening of the film in the !hej Open Air Cinema, was interested the most in Serban’s work with the actors, since the cast includes all the levels of experience – from amateurs to well experienced professional actors.

About this, Serban said that at first he was afraid and felt a great pressure, since he did not know many of the crew members, but that very soon all the members found their places within the crew, and that everything went as planned.

The actress Ada Condeescu said that the work on this film brought her some entirely new experiences, and that she learned a lot from the work with Serban and the rest of the crew.

At today’s “Coffee with…” the producer of the film, Daniel Mitulescu, was also present. He admitted that the idea itself to make this film was a risky one, but that today he is happy to have taken that risk.
