Premiere Screening of the Films from the Sarajevo City of Film Programme Took Place
Premiere screening of the films made within the Sarajevo City of Film 2010 took place on Sunday evening (July 25) in the Meeting Point Cinema.
Sarajevo City of Film 2010 Programme includes four short feature films by young filmmakers from South-Eastern Europe. These are: REVERSE, by the Greek director Georgis Grigorakis; FRIGIDANCE, by the Albanian director Kelmend Karuni; THE TICKET COLLECTOR by the Romanian director Catalin Musat; and SMART GIRLS by Croatian directors Hana Jusić and Sonja Tarokić.
Within the premiere ceremony, the film SMART GIRLS received the Surprise Award. This Award has been awarded for the first time this year, in cooperation with the British Council and Operation Kino Project. The British Council Short Film Award will provide the winning directors the opportunity to present the winning film on Encounters Short Film Festival in Bristol. The Jury members of the British Council Short Film Award are: Dmitry Yagodin, Andrei Tanase and Deniz Buga.
In the !hej Open Air Cinema, as every year, Atlantic Grupa Award will be awarded. The Award in a total amount of 2000 EUR will be awarded on Tuesday (July 27). Jury members for the Atlantic Grupa Prize are: Maike Mia Hune, Renen Shorr and Ines Tanović.
