Sarajevo City of Film: On the Set with the FRIGIDANCE Film Crew
The photographs from shooting are available here.
Shooting of the film under the working title FRIGIDANCE, has been continued on Thursday, April 15th, within the 2010 Sarajevo City of Film Programme. On this occasion we have interviewed Kelmend Karuni, the film director.
As put by Karuni himself, film FRIGIDANCE brings a story about a young woman who has finally got the courage to follow her own instincts.
Asked about the idea for the this film, the director said: "I had in mind a very good friend of mine, Eva, who dances Argentine tango, a very emotionally charged dance, but for some reasons she is hermetic in her true feelings. I saw it as a contradiction, and as a source of frigidness."
During the 2nd Sarajevo Talent Campus, Karuni met a young scriptwriter from BiH Dženan Medanović, whom he decided to entrust with the scriptwriting.
"We met at the Sarajevo Talent Campus in 2008. We had a very good feeling about each other's work and understood each other easily. We shared many, many ideas", Karuni said.
On how helpful was the experience gained at the Sarajevo Talent Campus for his future professional carrier, Karuni stated: "It was very interesting and different experience. I worked with very good professionals, but at the same time we created teams out of the Talent Campus Alumni members and we developed such strong professional and personal relations that we will for sure collaborate in future projects."
Shooting of the film FRIGIDANCE is scheduled to be finished on April 15th, whereas the shooting of the fourth film within this year’s Sarajevo City of Film Programme, under the working title THE TICKET COLLECTOR, is going to begin already on Friday, April 16th.
