Selection of the Sarajevo City of Film 2010 Projects Announced

Within the Sarajevo City of Film Project, which aims to encourage and prompt young film directors from the region of Southeast Europe to realize joint projects/films together with their colleagues scriptwriters, producers and actors (participants of the Sarajevo Talent Campus) total of 5 projects were selected. Before the shooting process takes place, each project will be further developed and in the case development process is successfully completed, five short feature films will be made in Sarajevo this year.

The selection was made by the competent jury consisting of: Izeta Građević, Creative Director of the SFF; Jovan Marjanović, Head of the Industry Department of the SFF; Phillippe Bober, producer and Selector of the New Currents Programme of the SFF and five selected projects to be realized are as follows:

PROJECT TITLE: FRIGIDANCE
Director: Kelmend Karuni (Albania)
Actress: Ivana Popović (Serbia)
Scriptwriter: Dženan Medanović (BiH)

PROJECT TITLE: OUR WALLS
Director: Cenk Erturk (Turkey)
Actors: Marina Vodeničar (Serbia), Senad Alihodžić (BiH)
Scriptwriter: Cenk Erturk

PROJECT TITLE: REVERSE
Director: George Grigorakis (Greece)
Scriptwriters: Erenik Beqiri (Albania), Alexandra Safriuc (Romania)

PROJECT TITLE: SMART GIRLS
Directors: Hana Jušić (Croatia), Sonja Tarokić (Croatia)
Actress: Marina Vodeničar (Serbia)

PROJECT TITLE: THE TICKET COLLECTOR

Once again we remind you, six young producers (participants of the Sarajevo Talent Campus) were selected to take part in the Production Workshop of the Sarajevo City of Film 2010 and thus take part in the realization of the selected projects. Selected producers are:

Dijana Olcay - Hot (Serbia)
Edin Pašović (BiH)
Isa Živanović (Croatia)
Nives Zemba (Croatia)
Valentina Orešić (Croatia)

Production of the selected projects will take place in Sarajevo, and the gala premiere of the films made will, as in previous years, take place within the forthcoming Sarajevo Film Festival.

This year, patrons of the project Sarajevo City of Film are the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Federation of BiH and Cinematography Fund of Federation of BiH, and the partner of the project is, as in previous year, Atlantic Grupa.
