The First Feature Film by a Participant of Sarajevo City of Film Project

Zacharias Mavroeidis, a young Greek director, who took part in the Sarajevo Talent Campus and Sarajevo City of Film Projects, is making his first feature film.

The audience had the chance to see his short feature film PINK RIVER during the 15th Sarajevo Film Festival within the Sarajevo City of Film Programme. With this realization Mavroeidis infringed into the world of cinematography and thus was given the chance to shortly after the gained experience in Sarajevo also make a feature film entitled “The Guide”.

Film is about Iasonas, a young tour guide challenging his career by coming to Athens leading a group of Erasmus students. While trying to satisfy the contradicting wishes of the group, Iasonas meets again with Mirsini, a (more than just a) friend from the past. The foreign students will put in question the "modern" Greek reality in comparison to the glorious classical past. At the same time, Mirsini will push Iasonas to question his own identity, looking for an exit from their dead-end romance.

At the moment, the film is in the phase of postproduction.
