ORDINARY PEOPLE in the Global Lens 2010 Programme
ORDINARY PEOPLE, directed by Vladimir Perišić, found its place among eleven feature films to be screened within the Global Lens 2010 programme. This is the programme which is for seven years now being screened in more than 35 towns around USA and Canada.
Global Lens is the programme sponsored by The Global Film Initiative whose aim is promotion of intercultural understanding through film media. According to the organizer’s words, ORDINARY PEOPLE is one of the critic’s favorites.
Film critic Fabian Lemercier in his article published at Cineuropa (European Film Portal) emphasized that Perisic managed to through “clinical description of a terrifying reality explored in a realist style and looking at the symbolic initiation to evil, give ORDINARY PEOPLE a universal and philosophical resonance."
To remind, ORDINARY PEOPLE is the winner of this year's Heart of Sarajevo Award for the Best Film. After its Sarajevo premiere, this film realized a noticeable success at numerous film festivals, among which we single out the Award for the Best Film at the Cottbus Film Festival.
