THE BLACKS Winners of the Grand Prix Award “Aleksandar Saša Petrović”

THE BLACKS by directorial doublet Zvonimir Jurić and Goran Dević is the winner of this year’s jubilee 15th edition of the Author Film Festival, which takes place in Belgrade. This decision was made by the trinomial jury consisting of: Sergej Dvorževoj, President of the Jury, French producer Nadia Turincev, and Croatian director Antonio Nuić. THE BLACKS was previously also awarded at Ljubljana Film Festival, while at the 15th Sarajevo Film Festival it had its premiere screening within the selection Competition Programme Feature Films.

Beside THE BLACKS, film I KILLED MY MOTHER also got the award in Belgrade, in the competition for the Best Film by the author younger than 35. This debut realization by the young Canadian director Xavier Dolan also won the award “Golden Pram” at the 7th Zagreb Film Festival. Sarajevo audience had a chance to see the film I KILLED MY MOTHER at the 15th Sarajevo Film Festival, in the selection New Currents – Feature Films.
