Safa, a fragile heart-patient, and her baby granddaughter Jasmina arrive on a humanitarian convoy from the besieged Sarajevo to their coastal apartment. Safa tries to provide a bearable life for herself and her granddaughter, expecting Jasmina's mother to join them. Their alcoholic neighbour Stipe causes them problems on daily basis. During a strong asthma attack, in total despair, she knocks on Stipe's door. Safa gives him a picture of Jasmina's parents and a telephone number, she tells him that Jasmina is alone in the flat and faints.
