Seven projects have made the final cut for CineLink Work in Progress section, where the most promising regional projects currently in post-production are presented for decision-makers from across the European film industry.
In addition, the projects compete for awards totaling EUR 100 000 in post-production services, top award being the EUR 80 000 in services from The Post Republic Berlin.
CineLink, as well as Sarajevo Film Festival and its Competition Programs, traditionally focus on projects from Southeastern Europe. However, after successful tryouts in the previous years the region has been extended to the Caucasus Region and to the North African and Middle Eastern countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea.
This year, CineLink introduces work in progress-projects from Kazakhstan, Israel, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Greece and Turkey.
Amra Baksic Camo, Head of CineLink:
- We are honored to have received a high number of submissions, suggesting that Work in Progress is increasingly regarded as a crucial platform for projects in post-production.
- The growing attendance of a professional audience and the proven success of the selected films also underline the importance of Work in Progress.
