The Campus participants will be offered an exciting programme of lectures, panel discussions, and active critical debates on one hand, complemented by workshops, practical tutorials, film screenings and festival excursions.
Sarajevo Talent Campus will have a special focus, an overall theme: MIND THE GAP: ENGAGE WITH CINEMA and will continue with the programme SARAJEVO TALENT CAMPUS PACK&PITCH.
MIND THE GAP – ENGAGE WITH CINEMA
Contemporary Southeast European cinema is a cinema that has a lot to offer. Either surfing the Greek absurdist or slow Romanian wave, or absorbing Bosnian socially shaped cinema, demand has never been greater on the part of the viewer. Many questions are being posed, leaving gaps to be filled in by the audience. There is a dire need for an engaged, curious and imaginative viewer – the one who enjoys being affected and moved by the power of images. The one who dares to inhabit empty spaces of art-house cinema and turns films into actual experiences.
Within the 7th edition of the Sarajevo Talent Campus, film critics and filmmakers are encouraged to mind the gap, explore contradictions within film viewing experiences and think of ways of improving their own work while having in mind curious and demanding audiences.
PACK&PITCH
The aim of the STC Pack&Pitch is to teach selected participants, directors and producers, how to analyze their own projects and prepare them for written and verbal presentation.
After the work with the pitching trainer and project consultant, the talents will have the opportunity to apply gained knowledge in the pitching session in front of the audience consisting of experienced film professionals, guests of the Sarajevo Film Festival and participants of the Cine-Link Co-Production Market.
Selected participants of the Pack&Pitch will also have the opportunity to find possible collaborators among ten young German producers, special guests of Sarajevo Talent Campus (whose attendance is organized by the main STC partner – Robert Bosch Foundation), who will form a part of the audience together with experienced film professionals.
Furthermore, the talents will be encouraged to network with the established experts, which might help further development of their current projects – possible realization and distribution of films.
