CineLink Line-up 2009:
CineLink 2009 call for entries attracted over 70 projects in development from 14 different countries in Southeastern Europe. 19 best projects were selected according to the strength of the stories, artistic potential of the authors and the overall potential of projects for international financing and circulation.
Matching the trend of growth in film production in Southeastern Europe, CineLink 2009 line-up experienced a significant increase in number of selected projects. Out of 19, 12 will be presented in the Cinelink selection and another 7 in the CineLink + selection. In June 2009, authors and producers of projects in CineLink selection will participate in Project Development Workshop, designed in collaboration with Binger Film Lab and focused on script editing and financial, legal and marketing aspects of the projects, packaging them for market presentation, while 7 CineLink + project will be presented directly at the CineLink Co-Production Market in August 2009.
Among the 7 projects in the CineLink + selection one comes through a new initiative entitled CineLink Guest. This initiative will allow an exquisite project from a country outside of Southeastern Europe, but with similar production and artistic realities, to be presented at the CineLink Market.
Selected projects are eligible for 3 CineLink Awards awarded by the French CNC, Goteborg Film Fund (10.000 EUR each) and Arte France (6.000 EUR). Besides the financial support and additional strengthening of their international appeal, winning projects are awarded an in kind contribution toward their postproduction in the amount of 2.500 EUR each, from Synchro Film and Video Vienna.
