CineLink Call for Entries
CineLink 2003
In its first, pilot, edition in 2003, the CineLink invited film projects from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia and Montenegro.
Six selected projects, out of 92 submitted, participated in a 7-day Script Development Workshop. The CineLink Market 2003 hosted more than 50 participants, coordinated approximately 200 meetings and presented 5 European film funds over the three market days at the 9th Sarajevo Film Festival.
The jury selected the top six projects to be presented at the CineLink Market event during the 9th Sarajevo Film Festival.
The chosen projects were:
• Bosanski lonac / Bosnian Pot / Vedran Fajković
• Lagano / Slowly / Nikola Mišić / Serbia and Montenegro
• Gola koža / Bare Skin / Zlatko Topčić
• Sasvim lično / Totally Personal / Nedžad Begović
• Ruže sa Tosku / Roses for Tosca / Branko Đurić, Simona Stražišar
• Zadnji dan / Last Day / Namik Kabil
The criteria for the selection were: theme/ universal appeal; conflict/ is there enough at stake; idea/ originality; storytelling skill/ author''s potential; interesting, three-dimensional, strong characters; and marketabilitiy of the project. The decision was made at the beginning not to seek "territorial balance," but to judge only according to the criteria mentioned above.
Totally Personal by Nedžad Begović was realised in 2005 and made its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival the same year.
