
CineLink’s Projects Awarded in Locarno
The success of the regional films developed and financed through the Sarajevo Film Festival’s Coproduction Market CineLink, continues. Following the 60th Berlin International Film Festival where the films HONEY by Semih Kaplanoglu and IF I WANT TO WHISTLE I WHISTLE by Florin Serban won the two main awards, Golden and Silver Bear, and after the selection of the films TUESDAY AFTER CHRISTMAS by Radu Muntean and ADRIENN PÁL by Agnes Kocis into the Un Certain Regard Programme of the Cannes Film Festival, the good news comes from the 63rd Locarno Film Festival.
Film MORGEN by a Romanian director Marian Crisan, which was developed at 2009 CineLink Coproduction Market, won the Special Jury Prize at the Locarno Film Festival as well as the prizes by the Junior Jury, and the Ecumenical Jury.
One of the laureates of this year’s Locarno Festival is also Oleg Novković’s film WHITE, WHITE WORLD, whose protagonist Jasna Dorčić received the Leopard for the Best Actress. WHITE, WHITE WORLD received a Prize awarded by International Art & Essay Cinema Confederation (CICAE Prix Art & Essai Prize). Film WHITE, WHITE WORLD was included into the 2007 CineLink selection, when it received the CineLink CNC Award, whereas the film producer Uliks Fehmiu received the CineLink’s EAVE scholarship.
