Sarajevo Talent Campus 2010
Sarajevo Talent Campus is a seven-day training platform for up and coming and talented film professionals eager to learn from established film professionals willing to share their knowledge, taking place during and closely linked to all parts of the Sarajevo Film Festival. The programme was launched in 2007 by the Sarajevo Film Festival and in cooperation with Berlin International Film Festival and Berlinale Talent Campus. This year`s edition takes place from the 25th to the 31st of July.
The programme of Sarajevo Talent Campus is open to young film professionals and film students in final years of their study from thirteen countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and UNMI Kosovo. In cooperation with Robert Bosch Stiftung, ten young film producers from Germany are invited to attend Sarajevo Talent Campus with a special guests` status. Through this initiative, the basis for future European film co-productions is established.
The Campus participants are offered a programme of lectures, panels, discussions, workshops, practical tutorials and inter-festival excursions. During the seven-day event, young filmmakers get the opportunity to exchange views and ideas among themselves. Sarajevo Talent Campus, designed to fill the gap between film school education and practical working experience, encourages collaborative filmmaking – developing, financing, producing, and distributing short and feature-length films together with fellow-filmmakers.
The natural follow-up of Sarajevo Talent Campus – Sarajevo City of Film was initiated with the aim of utilizing experiences and knowledge gained at the Sarajevo Talent Campus for creation of low-budget short films which are shot in Sarajevo by Campus participants.
