The Sarajevo City of Film Project was initiated in 2007, in cooperation with the Berlin International Film Festival, and with the support of the FBiH Film Fund and the FBiH Ministry of Culture and Sport, with the intention to provide participants of the Sarajevo Talent Campus an opportunity to display in practice the knowledge they have acquired and to present their aspirations and ambitions as authors.

Continuing the well-trodden path, this year we will present regional directors, producers, actors and scriptwriters through four short features by authors from Albania, Greece, Croatia and Romania.

Director of the best film realized within this year’s Sarajevo City of Film Project will be awarded the “Atlantic Grupa Award”, which will be presented by the project partner Atlantic Grupa this year as well.

Films Frigidance , Smart Girls , The Ticket Collector and Reverse thematize key moments in the lives of protagonists in which they decide to make a change. As they struggle with their fears, they choose the path of searching for lost passions, relinquishing their beliefs, finding friends and a way to claim their own, only to realize in the end that they have succeeded in their attempts.

As was the case last year, the authors have presented a unique view of the time that we live in and of the problems we face, as they tried to bring all these views together within the framework set by the project: the City of Sarajevo, three days of shooting, same equipment,
same budget.

Starting from the same position, the directors courageously entered the fight against time, budget, a foreign crew and an unknown city. Who won? Going through such an experience and presenting young talents and their achievements at this festival are a victory in itself for us.
