What kinds of film projects are eligible for CineLink Co-Production Market?
CineLink is open for feature-length fiction films with potential for theatrical distribution. We do not accept short film, TV documentary and animation submissions.
Who can apply with the project?
Directors and producers from: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia, Turkey and UNMI Kosovo.
If the duration of a group of short films adds up to a feature-length film, does that constitute an acceptable submission for CineLink?
Yes.
Do you consider feature length docu-drama films to be eligible?
Yes, if intended for theatrical release.
When is the next selection cycle? How often do you open call for entries?
The next submission will be in early 2013. We have one call for entries a year for the co-production market.
In order to be eligible for CineLink Co-Production market, what stage of production does my film need to be in?
Anywhere between development and preproduction, as long as there is a producer and director attached to the project, shooting dates must not be set before the current CineLink Co-Production Market dates.
What is the best way to send in my application (by e-mail attachment, fax or mail)?
Application is possible on-line only. DVDs of relevant previous works should be sent to us by international courier in one package with one tracking number. Packages can also be sent by mail but there is a significant chance of damage or loss in transit.
Will you return my application materials after the selection process has been completed?
No.
May I send a script (or any other application materials) in a language other than English?
All non-audiovisual materials must be in English. Audiovisual material (VHS/DVD) can be in another language, but if English translation is available please include it.
Can I send a video in VHS PAL format? What other formats do you accept?
For audiovisual content, we accept VHS and DVDs in NTSC, PAL, SECAM and MESECAM.
Do you have a preferred format for presenting the production budget?
MS Excel.
Do you have a preferred format for the script?
Final Draft or MS Word.
How many projects are selected and by whom?
Around 15 projects get selected every year by the Sarajevo Film Festival selection board.
What are my obligations if the project gets selected?
Project representatives’ participation in the CineLink Workshop in June and presence at the Co-Production Market in July in Sarajevo.
If my project gets selected, what costs does CineLink cover travel and accommodation vise?
Project Development Workshop – CineLink covers accommodation and travel costs for two representatives per project, writer/director and producer.

When and how are the CineLink Awards decided?
During the Sarajevo Film Festival an international jury selects CineLink projects to be awarded with 7 cash and in kind prizes of up to 30 000 € each.
