CineLink Co-Production Market 2010
CineLink Co-Production Market 2010 will take place on the last three days of the 16th Sarajevo Film Festival, from the 28th to 31st of July. The Market offers highly favourable and productive opportunities for authors and producers, as well as for distributors and representatives of funds and foundations, to discuss selected and recommended projects and to network.
The guest lists of producers, TV editors, sales agents and financiers from all over Europe attending the Market testifies to the success of the Festival in recruiting support from every sector and country. It also, crucially, allows the talented writers/directors to pitch and successfully sell their projects to interested parties both within the Southeast Europe and well beyond. The real strength of the CineLink is the small-scale but careful selection of guests, and the best testimony is a full quote from Jim Stark, CineLink 2009 guest: “Out of the thousands of people attending some place like Cannes, there are only about 25 people I really need to see, people who can actually help me get a movie made. Amazingly, about 20 out of those 25 people are here at the Sarajevo Film Festival, a place where the atmosphere and organization make it easy to meet comfortably and often.”
CineLink is open for feature-length fiction film projects in all stages of pre-production, with the producer and director attached and with the potential for theatrical distribution. Projects by authors from Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey and UNMI Kosovo are eligible to apply for CineLink.
CineLink Call for Entries will be open from the 15th of January to the 1st of March. During the month of March, CineLink Selection Board will select projects in two sections: CineLink and CineLink Plus. Projects selected for the CineLink section will participate in the CineLink Project Development Workshop. All projects will be presented at the CineLink Co-Production Market held during the last three days of the Sarajevo Film Festival, from the 28th to the 31st of July.
CineLink covers full travel and accommodation costs for two representatives per project, both for the Project Development Workshop and the Co-Production Market.
